website!
I've started coding our official website. We've already got our domain name and host, so we're ok. The actual website will be awesome, I tell you. It's all completely my own work. :) We're hoping to get some music up soon, more likely covers than original songs, because the original songs we've written are not 100% done, but close to it. Maybe. I now have two guitars. And I plan to buy a Gibson Les Paul Studio soon, because the one I just got, my mom won from a contest and she gave it to me. It's an Epiphone Special II, and I really like it, but it's kind of a beginner guitar, and I'm not exactly a beginner guitarist anymore. As much as I would love to buy a Les Paul Standard, I don't have that kind of money right now, and that would take forever to save up for. Plus they're heavier than the studios, and, you know, I don't think I'd be up for that. The studios are already heavy enough for me.
So, I have about half the money saved up, and I'm thinking about buying a black or red one with a satin/faded finish. Not only because it's cheaper (and it's simply a cosmetic change, exact same guitar), but because you don't see them too often, and it just looks cool.

bleh
Izzy! I know you said not to put random crap on the blog, but I can't think of ANYTHING. By the way, what are those shades with the little plastic line things on the lenses called? Bleh.

I'm getting a new guitar in about 1.5 weeks.

There's not much there yet, but, it's a start. We'll get some stuff uploaded soon.
Also, We've decided what one of our closing songs at shows will probably be. I've never heard a band sing it, so I guess it's a pretty original idea. It's a surprise! :) I wrote the guitar part to it.
And... here's an introduction.

get ready, america.
We're definitely playing (a) show(s) next year. It would most likely be in the summer, as that's when we have the most time, yet maybe not. It could be at an actual venue, or just some random person's party. It could be out of town. Maybe not.
There's nothing official about location or time as of now. But count on a show sometime. Yes, Audrey, you have time. A lot of time.
And the bass player situation is almost squared away. :)
Yet we're having problems finding a guy vocalist.
As for me, I'm still writing lyrics and guitar parts. Working on electronic tracks. Wrote another awesome riff. You know, stuff like that.

I'm Carly, the lead guitarist/violist. And I am here to say that we're working! We already have a song and a half complete and ready for recording. We think we've found a bassist, but we don't know him and haven't asked him yet. Most of my friends know him.
Let's have a random "what-the-heck-is-this-band-going-to-sound-like" time! If you like any of the following: AFI, Against Me!, Anti-Flag, Avenged Sevenfold, Arctic Monkeys, Blaqk Audio, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Gallows, Green Day, Joy Division, The Misfits, Muse, NIN, Nirvana, Rise Against, Tiger Army, then you'll probably like our music. And even if you don't like any of those bands, you probably will, too. I am not guaranteeing that we're going to sound like all of these bands, if any, but they're some of my favorites and judging from the style of music they play, if I like them, that usually means I like that style of music, and if I like that style of music, I might want to try to play it, and there.
Just so we all are clear, let's go over some things.
I cannot guarantee:
• amazing music that will melt your mind
• being anywhere near cool
• free vegan ice cream and t-shirts for everyone
• getting signed anytime soon
• having a full album within 6 months
• touring with aforementioned bands in the near future
I can guarantee:
• amazing music that will melt our minds
• awesome haircuts
• having a full album within a few years
• having several songs within a few months
• playing shows after we get our songs finished
• music you've never heard anything like
Also, I'm getting a new guitar soon! :D!
read this blog and you might get free music sometime in the not-so-distant future,
♥ Carly

Hello, all of you out there in the Land of the Living. What you just read was Izzy talking. This is Audrey, the other (as in better) half of the band. In our influences, Izzy didn't mention Avenged Sevenfold. I don't know if this was intentional. They influence me, anyway. So yeah, we're getting this thing together, and hopefully we'll have some news to post here soon. We're currently scouting for new members, working on various songs, and generally spinning our cocoon. So yeah, we're still in utero, but check here for updates.

- Music A composition that is melancholy or pensive in tone.
- Nameless Elegy, a band from Raleigh, NC, currently consists of Izzy on vocals/guitar/keyboards/viola and Audrey on sitar/drums/backing vocals. Their style is alternative rock, mixed with punk, horror punk, hardcore, and electronica. Their biggest influences are The Clash, The Cure, The Misfits, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, The Smiths, Rachid Taha, and Rancid. They hope to have an album out in 2010 or 2011, but check back, because important updates could happen. You will probably hear a demo fairly soon! These entries are by Audrey and Izzy, and will be posted from time-to-time, about random ordeals with the band and possibly, exciting news about the world of music's future.
Here is a draft of a song, just to show you what it might be like.
We'll affirm the black horizon while they are reminiscing. "Sometimes I just hope to disintegrate." Don't sink to the impending darkness, gratefully beckoning. I'll follow you until the end of time. We can't remember why we're here. We have no pride and we have no fear. We'll run to the earth's end. Forever, they won't last. I'll withhold my last remaining thoughts. Please, just don't forget me. I'll be of the past. Take my hand and we will fall. We can't remember why we're here. We have no pride and we have no fear. Never fade. We won't ever fade. We can't remember why we're here. We have no pride and we have no fear. We can't remember why we're here. We have no pride and we have no fear.
